The Jawa 42 is a contemporary reimagining of the iconic Czech motorcycle brand, Jawa, which was reintroduced in India in 2018 by Classic Legends Private Limited. This retro-inspired motorcycle captures the essence of the classic Jawa design while incorporating modern elements. Powered by a 293cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with a 6-speed transmission, it offers a blend of style and performance. The Jawa 42's distinctive aesthetics, advanced features, and customization options have made it a popular choice among Indian motorcyclists, contributing to the revival of the Jawa brand in the country and offering a dose of nostalgia for enthusiasts.
The Jawa 42 offers a range of variants with prices starting at Rs. 1,98,142 (Ex-Showroom) and goes untill 2,01,142 (Ex-showroom) . It's a cruiser bike powered by a BS6-compliant 294.72cc engine generating 26.95 bhp and 26.84 Nm of torque. Notably, the Version 2.1 of the Jawa 42 introduces alloy wheels with tubeless tires, a dark theme with black engine and exhaust components, an offset racing stripe, updated seat padding, and new pillion grabrail design. Optional extras include a flyscreen and headlamp grille. The motorcycle retains its dual-channel ABS, front forks, twin rear springs, and continues to compete with models like the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Honda CB350 in India.
